Minneapolis filmfest to screen ‘Hit the Road’

Iranian feature ‘Hit the Road’ is scheduled to vie at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF) in the US.

Panah Panahi’s directorial debut will represent Iran at the 2022 edition of the event alongside a line up of three other Iranian movies.

‘Hit the Road’ tells the story of a couple and their two sons who take a road journey to a destination that remains mysterious.

Meanwhile, the road trip with all the comedy and drama it entails takes place in the mesmerizing nature of Iran.

The flick has already toured a number of prestigious film events, including the Cannes Film Festival in France and the New Horizons International Film Festival in Poland.

It has also been screened at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland and the Calgary International Film Festival in Canada.

The MSPIFF is a springtime film event, which started in 1981 as the Rivertown Film Festival.

This year’s edition of the fest, currently underway, has been slated for May 5-19.
